you helped me rise,
above my dreadful condition.
So lonely was I late night laptop pounding,
searching the digital world for love, friendship,
somebody talk to me, please this is a chat room.
Every night same old thing,
banging my heart against a silicon chip,
this is no way to live you tell me.
You extended your hand,
you opened your heart and home
And for this I am forever grateful.
We new each other once,
sepia toned memories,
fill my cloudy memory.
You came back just in time,
I was giving up surrendering,
to my affliction that has me in a wheeled chair.
But your heart opened up and let me in,
saving what was left of me,
and filling me up like a hot air balloon.
Not yet given up on flying anymore,
still have much more to see,
may more people to meet, and maybe love
